Two Korean films are set for a premiere in major theater chain CGV in Los Angeles of the United States.


The official website of Los Angeles CGV Cinemas showed that Korean films “White” and “Sunny” will open in the theater on July 8 and July 22, respectively, both in digital format with English subtitles.

“White,” which is a horror flick co-directed by Kim Gok and Kim Sun, tells of struggling female K-pop group Pink Dolls that comes across a mysterious music video named “White” which at first, help them rise to fame but then turns into a medium that drives the members apart by stirring jealousy and resentment.


The film stars singer-actor Ham Eun-jung, also a member to popular K-pop group T-ara alongside other actresses including Hwangwoo Seul-hye and Choi Ara.

“Sunny,” helmed by director Kang Hyung-chul, is a film which looks back to the nostalgia of the 80s through the portrayal of funny and lively moments of seven teenage girls and their reunion decades later.


Starring Yoo Ho-jung, Shim Eun-kyung, Jin Hee-kyung and others, the film which opened on May 4, has been a big hit in Korea, having stayed in the top three slots of the weekend box office chart for nine straight weeks.
