Hyun Bin’s “Can’t Have You” leads Mnet chart

Actor Hyun Bin’s ballad “Can’t Have You” claimed the No. 1 spot on cable music channel Mnet’s weekly singles chart during March 7 to 13.

“Can’t Have You” which used to be Hyun Bin’s theme song in his earlier TV series “Friends: Our Legend” (MBC, 2009), was originally sang by singer Bank in 1995.

This is also the second time the popular actor, who recently left for the Marine Corps to serve his two-year mandatory military duty, to record a song since "That Man," the main theme song to TV series "Secret Garden" (SBS, 2010) in which he starred as young and arrogant department store owner who falls in love with a penniless stunt girl.

Second on the chart was “Going Crazy" by Song Jieun from girl group Secret which climbed 13 steps from the previous week.

“Going Crazy,” with a featuring by Bang Yong-guk, is Song Jieun’s first solo song that sings of obsessive love.

Meanwhile, Big Bang’s “TONIGHT” that ruled the chart for the past two weeks in-a-row, slipped down two steps to land on third place. The song incorporates acoustic guitar sounds into electronica music.

However, on the albums chart, Big Bang’s 4th Mini-Album released for the first time in over two years late last month, continued to maintain its place as No. 1 on Mnet’s Album chart.

“GD&T.O.P,” which is the first unit album by Big Bang’s hip-hop duo G-Dragon and T.O.P. released late last year, went up a step to take second place.

Ballad singer K.will’s second mini-album “My Heart Beating” released last Thursday debuted third on the album chart.

The new record is composed of six tracks including the title song also named “My Heart Beating” and other hit songs such as “Dumbfounded” which he sang with the Supreme Team and Sistar.
