Last round of tickets for JYJ's Kim Junsu's musical to go on sale over the weekend

A final round of tickets for musical "Tears of Heaven," starring JYJ member Kim Junsu, will go on sale over the weekend.

The show's promoter Core Contents Media announced through a press release on Friday that they plan to hold a third round of ticket sales, seating 4,500 people, on January 31 due to the popularity of the show.

The first and second round of tickets for the musical sold out within just few minutes of going on sale.

"I want to thank everyone for showing their love for the musical and myself," Junsu was quoted as saying. "A few days ago the foreign staff came together and made the lights, sets and sounds perfect for the show."

"Tears of Heaven," featuring musical scores by renowned composer Frank Wildhorn whose works include songs for "Dr. Jekyll and Hyde" and producer Gabriel Berry of movie "Sweeney Todd," tells the story of a Korean soldier who is dispatched to Vietnam and falls in love with a local singer.

The role of the male lead will be rotated with Kim and musical actors Jung Sang-yoon and Jeon Dong-suk while the role of Colonel Grayson will be played by America's top music star Brad Little.

The show will premiere at Main Hall Hae of the National Theater of Korea on February 1.

Kim, a former member of TVXQ, was one of the most popular dance groups in the K-pop scene whose other members were composed of Hero Jaejoong, Mickey Yuchun, Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho.

After suspending his activities with TVXQ over a legal conflict regarding their contract, he formed a three-member boy band named JYJ composed of Yuchun and Jaejoong.
