Kim Jun cast as detective in upcoming KBS drama
Korean heartthrob Kim Jun has been cast in a new action drama set to go on air late next month, according to the show's promoter YTREE MEDIA on Monday.
YTREE announced in a press release that Kim will take on the role of detective Shin Dong-jin in the upcoming KBS series tentatively titled "Organized-Crime Division" alongside Song Il-kook, Kim Seung-woo and Sun Woo-sun.
"Shin Dong-jin is someone who is unique and has the can-do attitude," a producer from the show was quoted as saying, adding that they have high expectations for Kim pulling off the role.
“Organized-Crime Division” will premiere on February 28 after current musical series “Dream High” ends its run.
Kim made his debut as the rapper of K-pop group T-MAX in 2007. He rose to stardom after playing one of the F4 characters in smash-hit series "Boys Over Flowers" in 2009 alongside Lee Min-ho, Kim Hyun-joong and Kim Bum.
