Bae Soo-bin set to appear in upcoming SBS drama
Korean actor Bae Soo-bin has been set to play one of the main characters in an upcoming SBS series tentatively titled "49 Days," joining actors Jung Il-woo and Nam Gyu-ri.
"He has been cast for the role although he has not signed a contract yet because more details have yet to be set," an official from his agency BH Entertainment told Asia over the phone on Thursday.
Multiple news reports have said that Bae will play the role of Kang Min-ho who is an extremely smart character that received his MBA from the United States.
"49 Days," written by famed scenarist So Hyun-kyung whose works include hit series "Brilliant Legacy" and "Princess Prosecutor," tells the story about Song E-soo (played by Jung) who takes the souls of people the moment they die.
The show will take over the Wednesday and Thursday primetime slot in March after current medical series "Sign" finishes its run.
Bae made his debut in 2002 through China's CCTV's "The Proof of Memories" and has since appeared in other dramas such as "The Painter of the Wind," which won him the new star award at the 2008 SBS Drama Awards.
