A photograph of balladeer Park Hyo-shin has been revealed for the first time since his entering the Korean military two weeks ago as part of fulfilling Korea's two-year mandatory duty required of all men.


The Nonsan military camp in Chuncheon of Gangwon Province on Wednesday released a picture of the singer, who entered the military on December 21 and is currently undergoing five weeks of basic training.

In the photo, Park is seen wearing his military uniform, crouching down and making a fist with his left hand amongst fellow trainee soldiers at the camp.


Park made his debut in November 1999 with his album "This I Cannot Do For You." He released several hits songs and is well-known for the theme song "Snow Flower" from the hit KBS TV series "I'm Sorry, I Love You."

He released the second part of his sixth album "Gift" and gave his final performance with singers Gummy and Wheesung for their concert "The Gift" on December 19.
