Korean idol Eli underwent surgery yesterday for his right arm he had fractured while practicing dancing.

A press release from NH Media announced that receiving thorough examination, Eli had to undergo emergency surgery for the fracture and damaged ligaments on his right arm.

His agency also explained that it was inevitable Eli receive the surgery but that other members of his group will continue with their local and overseas schedules without Eli and he will join the group after he fully recovers.

Born Kim Kyong-jae, Eli made his debut as a member of the popular K-pop group U-Kiss (Ubiquitous Korean International Super Star) with their single album "New Generation" in 2008.

The seven-member boy band recently returned to the local music scene with their fourth mini-album "BREAK TIME" and have been promoting the title track "Shut Up" on various televised music programs.
