Rock band CNBLUE has gone double platinum in Taiwan, becoming the first Korean artists to do so in the country.
According to Warner Music Taiwan, in charge of distributing CNBLUE's records in Taiwan, the band's first mini-album "Bluetory" and second mini-album "Bluelove" sold over 10,000 copies each.
Numerous popular Korean artists including Super Junior and SS501 have released their albums in Taiwan but none have gone double platinum.
CNBLUE's latest release "Bluelove" has been topping various music charts in Taiwan including G-Music and Five Music's weekly charts.
CNBLUE (Code Name Blue) released two singles in Japan before breaking into the local music scene in January with their mini-album "Bluetory" and released their second mini-album "Bluelove" in mid-May, both of which have fared well in Korea.
They have been on tour in Asia since late July which includes Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
