Rock band YB in person were exactly the way they were in film “Flying Butterfly” screened at the 6th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival this year.

In the film about them taking part in U.S. indie rock music fest Vans Warped Tour, they came off as ‘boys’ who still love to do music and hang out together rather than being the veteran band they actually are. Such playfulness was seen when they made fun of leader Yoon Do-hyun dressed up in a suit to host the fest’s opening ceremony, calling him ‘Director Yoon looking to buy land,’ and in how they constantly laughed while pretending to act as ‘an ambitious heir to a conglomerate and his entourage.’

It is probably the cheerfulness of these ‘adult boys,’ much closer to being vivacious than dark and heavy, that has been the driving force behind their 15-year career.
