Big Bang's Taeyang to open for Brian McKnight

Big Bang member Taeyang will open U.S. R&B singer Brian McKnight's concert in Korea next month, according to concert promoter Vincero.

The artist asked Taeyang to open his show titled "McKnight At Night" to be held April 1 after watching the young singer's music videos for single "Wedding Dress" and "Where U At."

Taeyang, whose real name is Dong Young-bae, debuted as a member of Big Bang in 2005. The five-member boy band have been one of the most popular groups in the country since releasing their first single "We Belong Together."

Each member of the group have also pursued individual careers in various relams of the entertainment industry including singing, acting and show-hosting.

McKnight, a singer, song writer and producer, made his debut in 1992 with the self-titled album "Brian McKnight" and soon released numerous albums which went on to become platinum and sell over 20 million copies worldwide.
