Top Korean actress Ko Hyun-joung has been voted the most outstanding television actor of the year, according to a recent poll by Gallup Korea.

In November, research firm Gallup -- which has been conducting annual surveys on society's most influential people since 2005 -- asked 1,726 people over the age of 13 who they thought was the most outstanding TV actor/actress in Korea this year. Each voter was allowed to pick two stars.

According to the survey's official results announced on December 16, Ko -- who played the role of royal concubine Mi-shil in the hit MBC drama "Queen Seon-deok" -- received 34.8 percent of the votes to claim the title.
