Top Korean singer and actor Rain will appear in an entertainment news show of this year's Formula 1 race in Singapore to promote his new film "Ninja Assassin", according to his agency Thursday.

"Rain returned to Korea this morning after shooting for a segment of the show with 2008 German Grand Prix winner Mark Webber," J.Tune Entertainment said in a press release.

The two staged a scene where they fight for a Formula 1 ticket, imitating moves the Korean superstar made in his Hollywood film set to open in late November, explained J.Tune.

The hour-long show, titled "F1 ROCKS", will also report on worldwide stars such as Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce and Lindsay Lohan attending the inaugural event for the 2009 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix opening on September 27.

"F1 ROCKS" will be broadcast a day ahead of the racing event throughout almost 200 countries on global channels including BBC, ESPN, Fuji TV, CCTV and MTV.

Rain played the lead role Raizo in the action flick by the Wachowski Brothers, famous for "The Matrix" triology and producer Joel Silver, who created the "Die Hard" and "Lethal Weapon" series.

The film has been hyped as one of the 50 most anticipated films of the year by U.K. newspaper The Times and one of the top 10 movies selected by the San Francisco Examiner.
