Jang Keun-suk, Yoona TV series to begin run next month

Cast of KBS' upcoming TV series "Love Rain" [Tree J. Company]

Hallyu star Jang Keun-suk and Girls' Generation member Yoona's TV series will hit airwaves next month, according to the show's promoter Tree J. Company.

Through a press release, Tree J. announced that Jang and Yoona starrer "Love Rain" will air every Monday and Tuesday nights on KBS starting March 26.

The statement also explained that the cast recently finished shooting scenes for the 1970s and will soon begin filming scenes for the present time in Hokaido, Japan.

In "Love Rain," Jang plays Seo In-ha who is willing to do anything for the woman he loves named Kim Yoon-hee (Yoona) during the 1970s.

The drama will compare the love between the two to the relationships that modern people have, through a cold-hearted photographer Seo Jun (also played by Jang) and Yoon-hee's daughter, Haru (Yoona).

The upcoming series, a collaboration between famed director Yoon Suk-ho and scenarist Oh Soo-yeon, was presold to Japan ahead of its local premiere. The duo hade made hit series together such as "Autumn Tale" and "Winter Sonata."
