Korean female idols Girls' Generation will release their maxi-single next week, according to their agency SM Entertainment on Wednesday.

SM said in a press release that the girls' maxi-single, featuring their hit song "The Boys," will become available worldwide through Apple's iTunes store on December 20 and in Korea the following day.

The statement then went onto explain that famed U.S. rapper Snoop Dogg has done the rap for "The Boys" and new rapper Lil' Play was featured in the remix version of the song.

On January 17, the girls will release a special album in the United States and Europe, through Universal Music, which will contain “The Boys,” the Korean version of their song as well as tracks from their third full-length album.

Girls' Generation, composed of members Taeyeon, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Jessica, Seohyun, Yoona, Yuri and Sooyoung, made a successful comeback in Korea with "The Boys" on October 19.
