Super Junior Heechul to quit radio show
Super Junior member Heechul has decided to step down from his radio show, according to his agency SM Entertainment on Monday.
An official at SM told 10Asia over the phone that June 26 will be Heechul's last day hosting SBS's "Kim Heechul's Young Street" since he will be busy working on Super Junior's new album and he will also need to start promoting his project duo named M&D (abbreviation of Midnight & Dawn), formed with TRAX member Jungmo, whose digital single goes on sale tomorrow.
Hence, Heechul will be quitting the show after one year and three months -- he has led "Young Street" since March of last year after having hosted the show for the first time in 2006.
In the meantime, a new for "Young Street" has yet to be set but it will rather be revealed through the show itself on July 2.
Producer Heo Geum-wook of "Young Street" explained that a different idol star will host the show each day from June 27 to July 1 and one of them will be chosen the official host.
Heechul, 27, first started out in the entertainment business with a role in KBS' teenage drama "Sharp 2" in 2005 and then began his singing career as one of the members to his popular boy band which has remained one of the most popular K-pop acts in Asia.
