Larry King to speak in Seoul next month
U.S. television personality Larry King will visit Korea next month to take part in a major annual forum on the digital era.
A press release by public network SBS said Monday that the host of CNN's "Larry King Live" show for 25 years until last December, will be a keynote speaker at the Seoul Digital Forum (SDF) to be held in Seoul from May 25 to 27.
Taking to the podium on the first day of the event, King, will give a speech under the theme of "The Connectors," giving his insight on the meaning of connectedness, who the true connectors really are and who will open a new world.
“I am thrilled to be visiting Korea for the first time and attend the Seoul Digital Forum. This really is the moment when we must come together to build a connected and shared community of the future to overcome our crises and challenges that we face now and ahead," King, 77, was quoted as saying in the statement.
The veteran interviewer, set to visit the country with his seventh wife Shawn Southwick, has remained with CNN for which he hosts specials four times year. He also launched his one-man comedy show named "Larry King: STANDING UP" on April 14.
Established in 2004, the SDF invites the world's most influential people in terms of innovation and inspiration in the context of the digital age.

This year's forum, held under the theme of "Connected: Into a Shared Future," will be participated by several other prominent figures including bestselling author Nicholas Carr of "The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains," pioneering feminist Gloria Steinem, and author Vikas Swarup whose book served as the basis for Oscar-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire."
