Korean girl group After School are preparing to make their official debut into the Japanese music market in June, according to their agency Pledis Entertainment on Friday.


"After School will release their official Japanese single and kick off their activities in the country in early June," an overseas official from Pledis told 10Asia over the phone. "We are currently in the final stages of signing with a major recording company in Japan to manage the girls."

The official continued to explain that they have opened After School's official Japanese website (http://www.after--school.jp/index.html) as a channel for the girls to communicate with their fans in Japan.


Recently, the girls recorded a song titled "Make It Happen" with Japanese songstress Amuro Namie for her upcoming album which will be released on March 23.

After School made their debut in January 2009 with their first single album "New Schoolgirl" featuring the title track "Ah" and also gained popularity through their second mini-album "Because of You," their third mini-album "Bang!" and Christmas album “HAPPY PLEDIS The 1st Album.”
