Korean pop singer Wheesung has cancelled a concert in China after being diagnosed with the influenza flu, according to his agency on Wednesday.

The singer was scheduled to perform at the Korean pop music showcase "Feel Korea, K-POP Night" in Shanghai today, but was unable to make the trip.

"Wheesung showed symptoms of the flu virus on November 21, so he was prescribed the Tamiflu medication," an official at POP/UP Entertainment explained. "He was very ill over the weekend and couldn't go to China for the concert. We had no choice but to call it off."

The official also added however, that the singer has "almost fully recovered now" and that he will be able to resume his activities this coming weekend.
