Mariah Carey will visit South Korea for the first time in six years to promote her new album, according to Universal Music Group on Friday.

The multi-award winning singer plans to hold a press conference, autograph session and air a fan meeting on television in October, Universal said in a press release.

Korea will be the first country outside of the United States that she will visit to promote her 12th regular album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel". She had last held a concert in Korea in 2003.

Carey collaborated again with Tricky Stuart and The-Dream, producers and songwriters of her former hit single "Touch My Body" in early 2008, to create most of her new album.
