"Breaking Dawn" makes shining debut on Korean box office
The latest installment of vampire fantasy "Twilight" series made a shining debut atop Korea's box office on the first weekend of December.
On Monday, KOBIS (Korea Box Office Information System) revealed that "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1," starring Kristen Stewart as Bella, Robert Pattinson as Edward and Taylor Lautner as Jacob, took in 482,384 admissions during the weekend of December 2 to 4.
"Breaking Dawn," the fourth installment of the "Twilight" saga, tells the story of how Edward and Bella get married while their unborn child becomes a threat to Bella.
New Korean comedy "Spellbound," starring Son Ye-jin and Lee Min-ki, entered the box office in second place after attracting 420,806 moviegoers and former No. 1 pic "S.I.U (Special Investigation Unit)" dropped two spots to No. 3 with 201,264 tickets sold.

Other movies rounding out on the top ten box office spots included "Punch," "Arthur Christmas," "Real Steel," "Moneyball," "Immortals," "50/50" and "You Are My Pet."
