BEAST rejoices 3rd straight win on Mnet’s “M! CountDown”

Boy group BEAST took their third consecutive win on music cable channel Mnet’s live music show “M! CountDown” aired yesterday with their song “Fiction.”

Overcome with joy, member Hyun-seung rolled on the stage as the rest of his group expressed their gratitude to fans and agency in their acceptance speech.

This is also the song’s fifth win on a televised music chart after coming out No. 1 on the live music shows of two public broadcasters, KBS’ “Music Bank” and SBS’ “Inkigayo,” and for the group alone, their sixth win, when including their earlier victory on “Music Bank” with song “On Rainy Days.”

“Fiction,” which is the title track to the group’s first full-length album “Fiction and Fact” released last month, is a sentimental dance piece about a guy who creates an alternative world in his head to escape from the pain of breaking up with his lover.

Last night’s show also included two comeback performances, featuring singer-actor Kim Hyun-joong and ballad group 4Men, a farewell performance by Eru and the surprise appearance of Japanese R&B singer Aoyama Thelma who performed "Without U" with girl group 4minute.

Other popular K-pop artists that appeared the same day were Lim Jeong-hee, Secret, Eru, Alex, Sunny Hill, FTIsland and Jang Woo-hyuk.
