Big Bang’s “LOVE SONG” rises 1st place on “M! CountDown”

Male band Big Bang’s “LOVE SONG” was crowned the winner on music cable channel Mnet’s live music show “M! CountDown” on Thursday.
This is the song’s third victory on a televised music program following its wins on KBS’ "Music Bank” and SBS’ “Inkigayo” aired last Friday and Sunday, respectively.
“LOVE SONG” is one of the two title tracks to the five-member group’s special edition album released early this month.
Co-composed by the band’s leader G-Dragon and their agency YG Entertainment’s composer Teddy, the song combined elements of modern rock based on an electronica rhythm.
“Thank you so much for offering us this wonderful award for our goodbye stage. We would like pass on this honor to YG family, our families, staff members of 'M! CountDown' and our fans,” said the members in their acceptance speech.
The group will wrap up their promotional activities for their special edition album after giving a final performance on “Inkigayo” this Sunday and take off to Japan the following day for two week-long activities there which involves a concert tour and a new album release.
Meanwhile, to further commemorate the adieu stage, member Daesung also sang his solo song from the album titled “Baby Don’t Cry,” for the first time on televised stage.
Other singers that showed up on the same stage that day included f(x), 4minute, B1A4, Monday Kiz, Kim Greem, Yangpa, Primary, supreme Team, Turtles, ERU, Tony An, Kim Tae-woo, Dal★shabet, A PINK and Taeha.
