Actor Jang Keun-suk will kick off his Asia tour this weekend, his agency Tree J. Company said on Thursday.
A PR official with Tree J. told 10Asia over the phone today that Jang, 23, will hold the first of his upcoming fan events in Singapore on Saturday.
However, Jang will not be able to travel straight from one country to another since he must take part in activities in Korea and Japan, including filming his upcoming movie based on Japanese manga "きみはペット" (You’re My Pet)."
He is also set to release his Japanese debut single "Let Me Cry" in Japan on April 27, although no promotion has been decided on as of yet following the earthquake and tsunami that hit the country on March 11, the official added.
Jang, who made his debut in the entertainment industry at the early age of five as a catalog model, has been one of the most popular Korean celebrities in Asia after starring in SBS hit series "He's Beautiful" as the eccentric lead singer of the idol group A.N.JELL.
He most recently made his comeback to the small screen in “Marry me, Mary” as Indie rocker Mugyul and embarked on a showcase tour in several cities in Japan late last year.
