Singer Kim Jeong-hoon leaves for Japan for fan meeting
Korean singer Kim Jeong-hoon left for Japan two days ago to prepare for his fan meeting in the country next week, according to his agency Mersenne Entertainment on Thursday.
Mersenne announced in a press release that Kim departed for Japan on March 8 and upon his arrival was greeted by 600 some fans at the Haneda Airport in Tokyo.
"I'm thrilled to finally get a stamp on my passport. I didn't think that a day like this would come," Kim was quoted as saying. "I want to thank all the fans who have waited two years for me and I will work hard to repay them for their support.”
Kim, who was recently discharged from his mandatory two-year military service, will hold a fan meeting at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan on March 14.
Kim, 30, debuted through male duo UN with their single “Voice Mail” in 2000. When the group disbanded in 2005, he turned to acting and starred in several dramas starting with the runaway hit MBC drama “Goong” in 2006.
