Singer Lee Soo-young is four months pregnant, informed her promoter T-Entertainment on Wednesday.

According to a press release issued by T-Entertainment today, Lee, who got married last October, is pregnant and is suffering from morning sickness these days.

"I'm still in the early stages of my pregnancy so the fact that I'll become a mom hasn't sunken in yet. I've also been asking people around me on how I'm supposed to go about this," Lee was quoted as saying in the statement.

"I also wish my honeymoon period lasted longer but I'm so happy over the thought of my soon-to-be-born child that my excitement far exceeds my disappointment,” Lee also added.

Lee, expecting the child around early August of this year, plans to halt most of her activities and focus only on two tasks -- taking care of her child and appearing on her own radio program “KBS 2FM Lee Soo-young’s Music Show."

Lee, 31, is a top ballad singer who debuted in 1999 and rose to instant stardom with her debut single "I Believe." She has since released a total of nine full-length albums and five mini-albums.

Last summer, she made a surprise announcement to marry a businessmen ten years older than her whom she met through introduction by an acquaintance.
