SBS "The President" leads TV chart for 10th week

SBS TV series “The President” came out first amongst Wednesdays and Thursdays prime time series once again, ruling charts for the 10th week, according to the findings of two major research firms on Friday.

During the past two days, “The President” scored an average viewership rating of 26.1 percent on data by Total National Media Research (TNmS) and 26.2 percent on AGB Nielson Media Research, maintaining its usual rating.

Ko Hyun-jung, Kwon Sang-woo and Cha In-pyo starrer “The President" which tells of one woman’s rise to presidency, hit the climax yesterday as the female-lead Seo Hae-rim, played by Ko, was finally declared Korea's first female president.

MBC’s mystery-suspense home drama “Home Sweet Home” came next, reporting an average rating of 8 percent on TNmS' survey and 9.9 percent on AGB’s poll, both improvements by about one to two percent from last week.

Starring Kim Hye-soo, Hwang Cine and Shin Sung-woo, the show looking into the mystery of a murder case rose to No.2 on prime time chart for the first time. The drama also posted a rating of 10 percent on AGB’s poll yesterday alone which was its first two-digit score.

New KBS series “PRESIDENT” starring Choi Soo-jong, Ha Hee-ra and Jay that premiered this week, yielded average score of 6.5 percent and 6.1 percent on TNmS and AGB’s charts, respectively.

“PRESIDENT” depicts on the process of ambitious lawmaker Jang Il-joon trying to become a president through various efforts of himself and the people surrounding him including his family and staff members.
