Nichkhun of Korean idol group 2PM has denied rumors that he will be appearing on MBC variety show "We Got Married", according to agency JYP Entertainment (JYPE).

JYPE said in a phone call with Asia Economic Daily on Thursday that reports of the pop idol appearing in the popular show -- where celebrities play make-believe couples -- were "not true."

"It is true that we discussed with the show's producers about Nichkhun appearing in 'Married' in January," an official at JYPE explained. "But nothing has been set. From what I know, producers have also contacted other celebrities."

The official added, however, that they are "still in talks" regarding the singer's casting and that they will have to "wait and see".

Recent reports claimed that Nichkhun and Eunjung of girl band T-ara will be joining the cast for "Married", but both parties have denied the news.

Nichkhun, whose full name is Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul, is a Thai-American singer who was discovered by a JYPE talent agent in Hollywood. He moved to Korea and joined 2PM which has become one of the most popular idol groups in Asia since their debut in September 2008.
