Japanese director Yamashita Nobuhiro to visit Korea for new film
Famed Japanese director Yamashita Nobuhiro will be visiting Korea to promote his film "My Back Page."
According to the film's local promoter All That Cinema on Tuesday, Yamashita Nobuhiro will arrive in Seoul on March 5 and will head straight to a special press screening followed by interviews with local media outlets.
He will later attend a barrier free screening, which is an event that features descriptive audio service and subtitles of "My Back Page," for people with hearing or visual impairments and hold a meet-and-greet with local fans the following day.
Yamashita Nobuhiro is no stranger to the local audience after directing movie "Linda Linda Linda," which starred Korean actress Bae Doona, and having screened works "A Gentle Breeze in the Village" and "My Back Page" at the Busan International Film Festival.
"My Back Page," starring Japanese actors Tsumabuki Satoshi and Matsuyama Kenichi, begins with an encounter between a college student and a journalist during the radical student movement period in Japan during the late 60s and 70s.
