Korean female idols KARA have sold over 100,000 copies of their fourth Japanese single "GO GO SUMMER" in just a week of going on sale, according to a press release from their agency DSP Media on Tuesday.

DSP announced that KARA’s “GO GO SUMMER” sold over 114,000 copies since going on sale in the country on June 29 to place them at the No. 2 spot on the prestigious Oricon’s weekly album chart.

This is the girls' second time to achieve the feat -- they sold over 120,000 copies of their third Japanese single "JET COAST LOVE" during its first week as well -- which makes them the first foreign female artist to sell over 100,000 copies of their records twice in a row.

Two of the main songs in KARA's latest single including “Go Go Summer!” and “Girls Be Ambitious!” have also been selected as theme songs for the commercials to LG Electronics’ Smartphone “Optimus bright L-o7c” and Japanese hair color brand “Palty,” respectively.
