An upcoming Korean film starring singer Jay Park and actor Ji Hyun-woo, wrapped up filming early this month, according to the movie's promoter Daisy Entertainment on Monday.
A press release from Daisy announced that Park and Ji, after four months, finished filming their feature flick titled "Mr. Idol" which will open in local theaters in August.
"I feel sad yet happy at the same time and I want to thank the other cast members, the director and staff for everything they have done," Park was quoted as saying, expressing his thoughts on starring in his first Korean movie.
Park, whose Korean name is Park Jae-beom, made his debut as a member of 2PM in 2008 but parted with the group early last year after stirring controversy over remarks he wrote regarding Korea during his trainee period.
He recently finished promoting his first mini-album "TAKE A DEEPER LOOK" and is focusing on his next album and overseas activities.
