Korean girl group 2NE1 will release their new mini-album next month, according to their agency YG Entertainment.
On Wednesday, YG revealed on their official blog that the girls' new album will become available on June 23, their first record since last September when they released their first full-length album.
They will follow it up with a song titled "Lonely" tomorrow midnight, a slow pop tune that expresses the loneliness a person feels regarding love while being in a relationship. The song also incorporates guitar, bass and other string instruments.
They will then give a live performance of the song on YG's Internet broadcaster "YG ON AIR" next Friday. Just like "DON'T CRY," "Lonely" will not be promoted on public television.
Will.i.am recently visited Korea and spoke with YG's chief Yang Hyun-suk and Teddy, while he has been working with 2NE1 in producing songs for their U.S. debut album since last year. They have yet to set a date for the move but they have finished recording ten songs with Will.i.Am.
Composed of members CL, Bom, Sandra and Minzy, 2NE1 has been one of the most successful groups in the country since their debut in May 2009.
