KEYEAST denies Bae Yong-joon set to wed Lee Na-young
Top Korean talent agency KEYEAST, managing the careers of actor Bae Yong-joon and actress Lee Na-young, have denied rumor that the two celebrities are set to wed next month.
A report by weekly Japanese magazine Asahi Weekly said in its latest issue that Bae and Lee's wedding is not far away, being set for April, but a PR official with KEYEAST told Asia Economic Daily played down the news, saying it is "groundless."
"I don't know why this has happened... We've already been through this," the official added, referring to the rumor that had circulated amongst the financial and entertainment industry in late 2008.
Bae himself had addressed talk of their marriage last year, saying that they are close only as actors at the same agency.
Asahi's report quoted a source well informed on Bae who claimed that the actor's Japanese fans spotted him with Lee at the house he is set to move into in the affluent Seongbuk district of Seoul.
Other sources said they saw the two together when Bae visited Japan to take part in a charity event held at the Tokyo Dome late last year.
Bae, 38, has been one of the first and most popular Korean actors in Asia after rising to mega-stardom with 2002 hit KBS TV series "Winter Sonata" co-starring actress Choi Ji-woo.
Lee, 32, first rose to stardom with TV series "Ruler of Your Own World" (MBC, 2002) and has appeared in several films and dramas. Most recently, she starred in "Fugitive: Plan B (KBS, 2010)" alongside actors Rain and Daniel Henney.
