BEAST holds encore concert over the weekend

Korean idols BEAST heated up the Olympic Park Gymnastics Gymnasium in Seoul over the weekend, attracting several thousands of local and international fans to the last day of their encore concert.

The six-member boy band opened the final show of their concert titled “Welcome Back to BEAST Airline” with their hit song “Shock" on Saturday.

They then continued the show with a number of their other popular tunes including “Bad Girl,” “Break Down” and “Mastermind” followed by the duo unit performances of members Yo-seop and Jun-hyung rocking the stage with “Thanks To,” Gi-kwang and Hyun-seung wooing the crowd with ballad track “Let It Snow” and a powerful performance of “When the Door Closes” by Du-jun and Dong-woon with their band.

The boys also held an on-the-spot fan meeting, unveiling several behind-the-scenes photographs of themselves preparing for the concert, a video parodying hit SBS’ TV series “Secret Garden” and each member showed off their abs to show they had kept their promise of getting into shape during their first concert in December.

Yo-seop protested at first, saying that Gi-kwang should be the only one since he was the one who made the promise but fans went wild after Yo-seop, Hyun-Seung , Gi-kwang and Dong-woon took turns lifting up their shirts while Du-jun and Jun-hyung joked around and ran off stage.

The concert also featured the special guest performance of fellow Cube Entertainment labelmate G.NA who belted out her recent hit “Black & White” and her debut song “Back Off" as well the premiere of BEAST's music video for the song “I Like You the Best.”

“We had so much fun with our concerts and we hope that you all enjoyed the show too,” The boys said. “We also hope that you all looked your best today since today’s concert is being filmed and will be released sometime this year in 3D DVD format.”

The three-hour long concert ended with their song “Beautiful” and the boys surprised their fans with an encore performance with songs “I Like You the Best” and “V.I.U.”

BEAST made their debut in October 2009 with their first mini-album “"BEAST IS THE B2ST." The group will be making their official debut into the music market in Japan with their first Japanese single “SHOCK,” to be released on March 16, which has already been topping preorder charts in the country.
