SHINee, f(x) new models for online shopping mall

Boy band SHINee and girl group f(x) have recently been selected as the new faces of online shopping mall Auction, according to their agency SM Entertainment on Thursday.

SM’s press release stated that five-member groups will be the main models for online shopping site Auction for the next 12 months, starting March of this year.

“We decided on SHINee who are popular throughout Korea and Asia and f(x), our existing models, to promote our website for a year," an official of Auction website was quoted as saying in the statement.

The official added that the groups' trendy image was what that company was looking for and that together with new models, Auction will enhance its services in fashion and other miscellaneous items targeted toward young people.

SHINee and f(x) will kick off their activities by shooting posters for Auction this month.

SHINee, composed of members Key, Minho, Taemin and Onew and Jonghyun, made their debut in 2008 under major talenthouse SM Entertainment. They have produced a number of hit songs including "Reply," "Ring Ding Dong" and "LUCIFER."

f(x), composed of Sulli, Krystal, Luna, Amber and Victoria, have been one of the most popular girl groups in the country since their debut in 2009 with single "LA chA TA" followed by other hit songs “NU ABO” and “Chu~♡”
