The Korean production of musical "Mozart!" will begin its run in China around April, according to its distributor on Monday.
"We had invited musical producers from China to see the show, negotiations went well, and so the show will open there," said director Lee Ji-woon of the musical's distributor Theatro.
Lee added that the musical is originally almost three hours long but will be turned it into a two hour-long concert with ten shows set for Beijing and five in Harbin.
"Mozart!," an Austrian musical which licensed to just five countries including Korea, Germany, Sweden, Japan and Hungary, was the top-selling musical on the online reservation site Interpark during its month-long run from late January.

TVXQ member Xiah Junsu, Park Geun Hyeong, Im Tae-kyung and Park Eun-tae played the title character of "Mozart" for the musical. Every show starring Xiah reportedly sold out, the first solo activity he had undertaken since his debut in 2004 through his five-member boy band.
"Mozart!" was written by world-famous playwright Michael Kunze and composed by Grammy award-winner Levay. It drew over a total 10 million admissions during its run in the five countries.
