Jiang Yiyan to visit Korea for upcoming China film fest

Chinese actress Jiang Yiyan will visit Korea this month to attend the upcoming China Film Festival (CFF), according to the event promoter's Creative Group Megaphone on Tuesday.

Jiang Yiyan along with famed Chinese director Jacob Cheung will join the festivities for the 2011 China Film Festival on September 28 while Cheung's feature "Rest on Your Shoulder" will kick off the fest on the same day, according to a press release from Creative Group on Tuesday.

The 2011 China Film Festival, which wrap up on October 4, will appoint Korean actor Joo Jin-moo as PR ambassador for the fest.

"Rest on Your Shoulder" tells the story of botanist Yan Guo (Aloys Chen) and his fiancee/assistant Baobao (Jiang Yiyan) who move to the Moon Island to do research on rare plants.

Whilst on the island the two pray to a forbidden tree to solidify their love when they find out that Baobao must live three years without seeing Yan.

Jiang Yiyan is a well-known Chinese singer and actress. She has starred in several TV series including "Cuo Ai," "Xing Huo" and "Wo Men Yao Yuan De Qing Chun" and films "One Summer With You" and "Fish Not in Water."

She has also sung the theme songs for dramas "I'm Still Here" and "Cha Chi Nan Tao."
