Boy band SHINee held their first Taiwan concert over the weekend, their agency SM Entertainment said on Monday.
The boys sang a total of 30 songs at the concert, named "SHINee THE 1ST CONCERT IN TAIPEI 'SHINee WORLD'," held at the Taipei Arena in Taipei on Saturday.
The group's lead vocalist Jonghyun in particular sang a duet with Taiwanese songstress Zhang Li Yin who was at the concert as a special guest.
SHINee, also formed of members Onew, Key, Taemin and Jonghyun, has been popular in Taiwan since promoting themselves in the country in the latter half of last year, topping a number of music charts in the country with their songs.
Their Japan debut has been met by much success -- their first single "Replay - 君は僕の everything” (translated into "Reply - You are my everything"), sold over 100,000 copies since going on sale on June 22 to achieve gold disc status and make them the first K-pop artist to claim gold in Japan with a debut single.
