New "Bourne" series to be shot in Korea
A part of Hollywood's fourth installment of the "Bourne" movie series will be shot in Korea.
Korean actor Park Joong-hoon delivered the news via his Twitter account on Friday, citing art director and production designer Thompson Kevin.
"A friend of mine that I have been close with for about ten years now is an art director in Hollywood and he just told me that part of the new 'Bourne' series will be shot in our country," Park tweeted, adding that Kevin and the film's director will visit Korea in early May for location hunting.
He then added, "What I'm a little worried about is Korea being shown in a bad way in the movie. I'll do my best to make sure that Korea can't be portrayed in a negative way when I meet him in May!"
Universal Pictures has said that the fourth entry, titled "The Bourne Legacy," is slated for a release in the summer of 2012.
However, Matt Damon who starred in all three former pics, is unlikely to return for the fourth movie -- it will be a re-thought version or spin-off to to the franchise which will not feature the amnesiac spy hero Jason Bourne.
Park Joong-hoon, 45, is one of Korea's most widely recognized movie stars with a 25-year acting career under his belt.
