Korean film "Glove" to be released in the United States and Japan
Korean sports flick "Glove" will be released the United States and Japan, according to the film's distributor CJ Entertainment on Thursday.
CJ announced in a press release that "Glove," helmed by famed director Kang Woo-suk, will make its premiere in Los Angeles, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Atlanta, Chicago, San Jose and Seattle on February 25, as well as in theaters in Japan through CJ Entertainment Japan in the summer.
"We had gotten many favorable reviews when director Kang's previous work 'Moss' opened in theaters," an official from CGV LA was quoted as saying. "His works are quite popular and was received well amongst moviegoers here."
An official from CJ Entertainment Japan explained that the local audience has high expectations for "Glove" since Kang's last movie "Moss" had done well in the country after its premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival last year.
“Glove,” which stars actors Jeong Jae-yeong and Yoo Sun, is based on a true story about a group of high school baseball plays from a school for the hearing-impaired that hopes for their first national win.
