Song Hye-kyo holds publication ceremony for photo book

Actress Song Hye-kyo has held a book publication ceremony for her new photo book, according to Korea's foreign brand launching company Shinsegae International on Monday.

A press release by Shinsegae International said that actress explained the contents of her photo book “Moment, Song Hye-kyo” at the book publication ceremony held at fashion multi-shop BOONTHESHOP on Friday, which also featured video images, photos, a charity concert and an autograph session.

Attending the ceremony were her acquaintances and fans, as well as officials from publication industry, BOONTHESHOP, photographers, stylists, and diplomats from various countries who assisted Song in her global photo project.

Music used as a background for the photo book, attached to the photo book in DVD format, was performed at the charity concert.

Composed of 420 pages, "Moment, Song Hye-kyo" took five years to publish due to having to search for the most scenic backgrounds worldwide in Buenos Aires, New York, Paris, Geneva, Firenze and involving the participation of world-renowned fashion photographers such as Peter Lindbergh, Helena Christensen and Jean-Francois Carly.

Classified into a limited edition whose 2,000 volumes have unique numbers, Song's photo book will be sold in Korea as well as in China, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan.

Part of the profits the book saw from sales at the launching ceremony will go to ChildFund Korea which Song and BOONTHESHOP sponsors.

Actress Song Hye-kyo, 28, debuted in 1996 through a TV commercial and shot to fame throughout Asia after starring in KBS' hit TV series "Autumn in My Heart" (2000), "All In" (SBS, 2003) and "Full House" (KBS, 2004) alongside Asian pop star Rain.

She also appeared in drama "The World That They Live In" (KBS, 2008) and made headlines for dating her co-star Hyun Bin. She has also done work on the big screen including "Poetry" (2008) and the Asian omnibus pic "Camellia" (2010).

Last year she made her first Hollywood debut with a psychological thriller “Fetish” (2010) helmed by Sohn Soopum in which she played a woman with supernatural power who attempts to possess the body of her neighbor to steal her husband.
