SuperstarK's John Park to release single today

Televised singing contest SuperstarK runner-up John Park will kick off his official singing career today through the release of a debut single.

A press release from Trophy Entertainment, the affiliate of Park's album production firm Lucy en Ves, announced Friday that Park's single "I'm Your Man" will be available on various online music websites.

"I'm Your Man," composed and written by famed producers Pak Sun-zoo and Gina, is a contemporary pop jazz number.

"'I'm Your Man' is my debut song which marks how I've achieved my dream to be a singer and it is the perfect gift," Park was quoted as saying, adding that he will do his best and make music that all listeners can enjoy.

John Park began his singing career as a member of his college a capella group Purple Haze and was a semi-finalist on the ninth season of "American Idol." He became a household name in Korea as the runner-up on Mnet's "SuperstarK 2," Korea's version of the popular U.S. music show.
