The first round of tickets for boy band JYJ's "JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul" sold out in 20 minutes of going on sale yesterday.
Online shopping mall Interpark had opened up its reservation page for the first 20,000 seats out of the total 50,000 seats for the November 27 show.
JYJ, composed of former TVXQ members Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu, will hold two shows, seating a total 100,000 fans, at the Main Olympic Stadium in Jamsil on November 27 and 28.
The concert will be directed by Jeri Slaughter who has worked with international pop stars such as Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera.
Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu made their debut in 2004 as a part of the popular boy band TVXQ, but despite their phenomenal success in Asia, they ceased their activities as a five-member group after becoming involved in a legal dispute with agency SM Entertainment last year.
They then formed a singing trio named JYJ which recently released their first album "The Beginning."
They also kicked off their worldwide showcase last week, starting with their first show in Seoul. They will be heading to six other countries including Hong Kong, Bangkok and Los Angeles.
