SS501 member Kim to return to Korea

Kim Hyun-joong, member of pop idol group SS501 who is in Japan recovering from the influenza flu, will return to Korea tomorrow, said an official from his agency on Tuesday.

"He will leave the hospital in Japan today and enter Korea tomorrow," said Choi Sung-pil at DSP Media.

Kim will receive another checkup once he arrives in Korea as a precautionary measure, Choi added.

He also said the singer's group will decide on when to make a comeback with a new album depending on the progress of Kim's recovery.

The 23-year-old singer had been hospitalized in Tokyo after becoming infected with the new H1N1 influenza virus a week ago while on promotion for KBS hit TV series "Boys Over Flowers".

He is also the lead vocal of the popular five-member boy band SS501 which debuted in 2005.
