Korea’s Movie Stars to Attend Mnet’s MAMA in Hong Kong

A number of top Korean actors will be joining the biggest music award ceremony in Asia opening in Hong Kong this month.

The 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards [MAMA] organizers said in a statement Friday actors Jung Woo-sung, Song Seung-heon, Song Joong-ki, actresses Yoon Eun-hye and Han Chae-young will attend the idol-packed event as presenters.

This is expected to help show off Korea's cultural achievements to the world and enhance the MAMA's position on the global stage, the organizers said.

Since its launch in 2009, MAMA has invited popular K-pop artists such as Girls' Generation, 2NE1, Rain and BEAST.

The upcoming festival will feature performances by sensational musicians PSY, Big Bang, Super Junior and SISTAR. The officials said last week it will also invite Hong Kong's superstar Jackie Chan and Taiwanese singer Wang Leehom.

The 2012 MAMA will be hosted at the Hong Kong Convention and broadcast live on Mnet's global channels.
