Korea and Uzbekistan co-production feature "Hanaan" will compete at the annual Festival del film Locarno to be held in Switzerland next month, according to the official website of the fest on Thursday.
"Hanaan," the first feature helmed by director Ruslan Pak, will be up against 13 other international movies under the Concorso Cineasti del presente category (Filmmakers of the Present Competition) as well as make its world premiere at the 64th Festival del film Locarno in Switzerland from August 3 to 13.

First established in 1946, Festival del film Locarno is held annually in the city of Locarno of Switzerland. The main feature of the festival is screened at the astonishing Piazza Grande which seats over 8,000 moviegoers.
The Locarno Film Festival is well known worldwide to be a festival of discovery. Throughout its history the festival has discovered new trends and launched the career of numerous directors and actors.
