Eric Benet Korea concert rescheduled to September
American R&B soul singer Eric Benet has rescheduled his Korea concert to late-September, according the concert’s organizer Private Curve on Thursday.
Private Curve revealed in its press release that the date for Eric Benet’s third concert in the country, titled “ERIC BENET Live In Seoul 2011,” has been set for September 22 at the AX Hall in Seoul.
The singer was originally set to perform in Korea on April 12 but had pushed the date back after the massive earthquake in Japan in March left at least 21,000 people dead or missing and thousands homeless.
Benet at the time sent out an email apology with the promise that he will reschedule the concert as soon as possible.
Benet debuted with album “TRUE TO MYSELF” in 1996 and rose to recognition three years later with his second album “A DAY IN THE LIFE” whose title track “Spend My Life With You” claimed the No.1 spot on the U.S. Billboard chart for three weeks and got Benet nominated for the Grammy Awards the following year.
His third album “Hurricane” (2005) also boasted numerous hits including “Hurricane,” “Last Time,” and “Cracks Of My Broken Heart” while his fourth album “LOVE & LIFE” (2008) debuted No.11 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart.
