Lee Seung-gi to make cameo in MBC series "The Greatest Love"

Korean singer and actor Lee Seung-gi will make a special cameo appearance on popular MBC TV series "The Greatest Love" tonight, according to the broadcaster on Wednesday.
MBC announced in a press release that Lee will play himself in today's episode of the Wednesday and Thursday primetime series written by the famed scenarist sisters Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, which stars actors Cha Seung-won and Kong Hyo-jin.
"The Greatest Love," currently the No. 1 show on its time slot, tells the story of love, romance and jealousy surrounding top star Dokgo Jin (Cha), past idol singer Goo Ae-jung (Kong), doctor Yoon Pil-joo (played by Yoon Kye-sang) and famed singer-actress Kang Se-ri (played by Yoo In-na).
Lee made his debut as a singer after being discovered and trained by veteran vocalist Lee Sun-hee and released his debut album "The Dream of a Moth" in 2004 which featured his hit songs "Because You're My Girl," which gave a major boost to his popularity and made him an overnight sensation.
He then expanded his career into acting with a role in MBC's sitcom "Nonstop 5" in 2005 and became a household name in Korea after starring in "The Infamous Chill Sisters" and rose to fame throughout Asia last year through hit SBS series "Brilliant Legacy."

Lee is also the host of several entertainment shows including KBS' "1 Day 2 Nights" and SBS' "Steel Heart."
