Tang Wei hold fan meeting at Smart TV Event Zone

Chinese actress Tang Wei has met with her fans in Korea, according to a press release by Samsung Electronics today.

Tang, who is currently the newest advertising model for the company's SMART TV, held a fan meeting in Seoul yesterday which was held in line with an event endorsing the product.

The event began with Tang greeting her fans through a video image on SMART TV, then her appearing in person, and was followed by a talk show which included incidents related to shooting her commercials for the brand.

The talk show was also followed by a mini concert by top Korean songstress BMK who is currently also a popular contestant on MBC’s hit reality music show “I’m A Singer.”

Tang Wei, 31, rose to international stardom through Ang Lee's espionage thriller "Lust, Caution" which won Venice's Golden Lion award.

She gained additional recognition in Korea by appearing in a Korean film titled “Late Autumn” in which she co-starred with Korean heartthrob actor Hyun Bin, and was invited to the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival and Fribourg International Film Festival this year in February and March, respectively, for the pic.
