2NE1 vocalist Park Bom’s fast-tempo R&B tune “DON’T CRY” remained atop the weekly Gaon singles chart for second consecutive week for the first week of May.

The song that bids farewell to one’s past love forever from Park’s digital album of the same name, and set to be included in her girl group 2NE1's upcoming mini-album, was composed by Teddy, the veteran musician of YG Entertainment.
Next on the list was girl group f(x)’s electronic pop dance number “Danger,” which also maintained its place at No.2 from last week.

“Danger,” about a girl dreaming about her first crush while likening him to the wooden puppet Pinocchio, is also title song from their first regular album “PINOCCHIO” released late last month.

Third on the chart was ballad “For You” performed by Yim Jae-beum on public broadcaster MBC’s music reality show “I’m A Singer” over the weekend.
The song, which was originally sung under a different title and lyrics by songstress Esther in 1997, received rave reviews and came out the winner of the program of the week.

On the albums chart, Eru’s EP album “Feel Brand New” that went on sale two weeks ago, climbed five steps to claim first place on the chart.

“Feel Brand New” which is made up of title track “Countrified and Immature,” its instrumental version and additional song “Strong Woman,” is Eru’s first album in nine months.

No. 2 was f(x)’s aforementioned album “PINOCCHIO” which is group’s first regular album composed of a total 10 tracks such as “Lollipop,” “Stand Up!” and “Gangsta Boy.”

Poppera tenor Lim Hyung-joo’s special album vol. 2 “Once More” which has topped several weekly classic album charts including that of Kyobo Bookstore, online shopping site Interpark and Hanteo Chart, reached No. 3 on Gaon.

The album consists of old pop songs and classics from home and abroad such as Andrea Bocelli’s “Melodrama” and Lee Moon-se’s “I Don’t Know Yet.”
