Super Junior-M repackaged album sweeps Taiwanese charts

Korean idol group Super Junior-M’s new repackaged album has swept several major music charts in Taiwan.

Several official websites of Taiwan’s major music charts including FIVE MUSIC and the major record chains of Kuang Nan and CCR have placed the repackaged version of Super Junior-M's second mini-album “Perfection” (太完美), which went on sale on April 29, on top of their weekly charts during the late April to early May period.

The regular version of the album had been a hit as well, claiming the No. 1 spot on Taiwan’s top radio music chart “HIT FM HITO,” and again on China’s top music program “China TOP Music chart.”

The repackaged album released in a CD+DVD version, include the cappella version of famous Taiwanese folk song “Words of the Westerly Wind (西風的話),” arranged by SM's popular composer Kenzie and sung by members Kyuhyun, Zhou Mi and Ryeowook.

The DVD consists of photographs from Super Junior-M’s album jacket and a music video of “Perfection” in both the Korean and Chinese version.

Super Junior-M, composed of members Siwon, Donghae, Henry, Zhou Mi, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk and Sungmin was first formed in April 2008 as the third sub-unit of Super Junior that include other sub-groups Super Junior-T, Super Junior-K.R.Y. and Super Junior-Happy.

They received the award for Best Group in 2008 won the award for the most popular group at the Golden Chinese Chart Awards held in early April of this year.

The group is also active as emcees in a variety show aired by Taiwan AZIO TV while members Siwon and Dong-hae are currently filming Taiwanese drama “Extravagant Challenge."
